Art Director Job Opportunity

This is a senior-level role in the field of 3D art production, responsible for overseeing the visual style and artistic vision of projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leadership and team management, as well as a strong creative vision and technical skills in industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the overall visual style and tone of 3D projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3D artists, including modelers, texture artists, and animators.
  • Collaborate with game designers, developers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality results.
  • Define, develop, and maintain the 3D art pipeline and production workflow to optimize efficiency and integration of assets.
  • Review and approve all art assets and deliverables to maintain consistency and high artistic quality throughout the project.
  • Create initial concepts, visual guides, and storyboards to communicate the artistic direction to the team and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new software, and emerging technologies to innovate production techniques and incorporate best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in 3D art production, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior artist role within the relevant industry.
  • Technical skills: Expert proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, ZBrush), texturing and sculpting tools (Substance Painter, Adobe Creative Suite), and real-time rendering engines (Unity or Unreal Engine).
  • Soft skills: Strong creative and critical-thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proven team management and mentorship skills.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and experience with AR/VR platforms.
