Job Title: Financial Controller

Job Summary: A highly skilled Financial Controller is required to support global accounting policies, financial compliance, and operational processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of US & India GAAP and experience working with US-based finance teams.

The role involves developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, optimizing month-end close processes, collaborating with audit teams, and reviewing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures ensuring compliance with US & India GAAP
  • Work closely with various business partners to refine and implement accounting policies
  • Optimize and streamline month-end close processes for efficiency
  • Collaborate with audit teams and support statutory and tax audits
  • Approve general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Supervise monthly and annual close processes, internal controls, and reporting
  • Manage consolidation, inter-company transactions, reconciliations, and foreign currency accounting
  • Review financial statements, cash flow statements, and budgets for reporting accuracy
  • Lead ad-hoc cross-functional projects including end-to-end process design and system implementation

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or public accounting (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of US & India GAAP
  • Experience supporting international businesses and working with US-based finance teams
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complex accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in month-end financial closes, annual audits, and variance analysis
  • Self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude and ability to work independently
