Job Title:

Statutory & Accounting Lead

About the Role:

This is a crucial position in our organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting and operational guidelines. The successful candidate will lead the FSS India team for both US GAAP & Local Statutory Accountants.

Liaising with senior stakeholders including global FSS, global commercial senior management team, financial team, and other corporate finance functions is key. Key initiatives include driving strategic initiatives, ensuring ongoing compliance with AbbVie Accounting policy and procedures, monitoring internal control compliance, and playing a critical role in the preparation of US GAAP financial statements.

We are looking for an individual with 14-17 years of progressive experience in accounting, planning, and financial analysis, with experience with SAP required. Managerial experience with solid leadership skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, are essential.

The ideal candidate will have fluency in English, self-motivation, follow-up skills, ability to work independently, ownership, and drive in independent tasks execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing, coordinating, and reviewing the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close process.
  • Reviewing key account reconciliations.
  • Performing periodic balance sheet account reviews at a country level.
  • Initiating process improvements and quality reviews.
  • Assisting as needed in the statutory reporting process.
