About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable and resilient database infrastructure for mission-critical systems. This involves developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated operational processes using tools like Gitlab and Terraform.

Implementing observability best practices, including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting, is also crucial in this role. You will work closely with development teams to ensure system designs are scalable, maintainable, and secure.

Furthermore, you will manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases, focusing on high availability and performance tuning. Leading root cause analysis and postmortems for major incidents, driving long-term reliability improvements, and contributing to internal tooling, automation framework, and infrastructure-as-code are also essential responsibilities.

In addition, you will participate in database on-call rotations to respond to system incidents, ensure uptime SLAs are met, and promote DB SRE best practices across teams.



Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Software Engineering: 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or DB SRE roles.
  • Programming Experience: Proven programming experience with Angular 14, Bootstrap 5, and Python Flask.
  • Database Engineering: Strong experience in database engineering, schema design, query optimization, replication, and backup/restore strategies, as well as other database administration tasks.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Distributed Systems & Networking: Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and cloud-native architectures, specifically AWS and GCP.
  • Security Practices: Familiarity with security practices related to infrastructure and data handling.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform.
  • Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex production database environments, with the ability to work independently.
