Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team in India for a long-term freelance opportunity with a major banking organization.

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned SDET to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the development of our client's applications.
About This Opportunity

This role involves working as part of a dynamic team to design, develop, and test software applications. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our client's applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with agile methodologies. They will also be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and possess a positive attitude towards learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium, Java/C#, and Playwright
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements
  • Design and implement effective testing strategies to ensure application quality and reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of testing activities and results
  • Work closely with business users and IT teams to understand project requirements and deliverables
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and testing
  • Strong knowledge of web automation tools, including Selenium, Java/C#, and Playwright
  • Experience working with native Windows applications automation
  • Knowledge of designing automation frameworks and Azure DevOps
  • Good understanding of technology environment, such as Azure, Azure SQL, MSSQL
