Job Title: Big Data Tester

A highly skilled data automation specialist with a focus on developing and executing test cases for Fixed Income trading workflows.

About the Role:
  • Develop custom data validation scripts based on provided regression test cases, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Translate stored procedure logic into test automation to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to build and maintain a central automation script repository, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Create comprehensive QA strategies and test plans from scratch, delivering results that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test cases with a focus on Fixed Income trading workflows, leveraging expertise in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Work collaboratively with development, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Provide clear reporting on QA progress and metrics to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Independently troubleshoot complex issues on different environments, applying analytical skills to resolve problems effectively.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming experience in Python (preferred) or Java, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, including writing and debugging complex queries, to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
  • Familiarity with PyCharm, VS Code, or IntelliJ for development, utilizing tools to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.
  • Prior exposure to financial data or post-trade systems, which is an asset but not mandatory.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python or Java programming, with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
  • Expertise in SQL, including query writing and debugging, to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Familiarity with data structures, large tables, and datasets, which are essential for successful data analysis.
  • Experience with PyCharm, VS Code, or IntelliJ for development, which can be leveraged to enhance workflow efficiency.
