Job Overview

The senior credit underwriter's role involves a comprehensive assessment of financial and transactional data to evaluate the creditworthiness of businesses and their channels.

This position requires analyzing financial data, preparing detailed credit reports, and ensuring that all documentation and processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant documents to assess the creditworthiness of customers.
  • Collect and accurately interpret credit data from various sources to evaluate the credit risk of potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain advanced credit scoring models to assess and manage credit risks.
  • Qualify leads by assessing the financial needs and eligibility criteria of potential clients.
  • Collect and accurately record detailed information and outcomes of each lead assessment in the CRM system.
  • Prepare detailed reports on credit analysis findings, including risk assessments, credit ratings, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with external lenders, banks, internal finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive credit evaluations.
  • Coordinate with Lenders and LSPs for approval or denial of loan applications and influence decision-making if feasible.
  • Ensure all loan processing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties to obtain necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and industry trends to effectively communicate benefits to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in assessing credit risk and underwriting for business lending and supply-chain finance products.
  • Familiarity with credit risk assessment methodologies and financial statement analysis.
  • Knowledge of loan processing procedures, credit risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.
