About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performance, data-intensive applications. The successful candidate will have expertise in Apache Spark and experience working with large-scale datasets.

Job Description

The Senior Scala Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data processing systems using Scala programming. This includes applying strong expertise in Apache Spark APIs for large-scale data processing, transformation, and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, as well as the ability to write clean, reusable, and testable code following functional programming principles.

They will also work effectively within cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) environments and utilize version control tools like Git for collaborative development and code management.

In addition, the Senior Scala Developer will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver integrated data solutions.

Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Scala programming for data-intensive applications.
  • Strong expertise in Apache Spark (RDD/DataFrame/Streaming) for large-scale data processing.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance across large datasets.
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL workflows, and batch/real-time processing.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing, parallel processing, and data partitioning strategies.
