Mechanical Design Engineer Job

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development and testing of complex mechanical systems and equipment.

As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing precision mechanical equipment, collaborating with customers and marketing teams to determine design requirements, planning and executing project timelines, developing and testing prototypes, and working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design specifications are met.

Mechanical Design Engineers at 1k2k-dosing-and-dispensing-private-limited have the opportunity to solve problems in engineering design, participate in industry development, and stay abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine mechanical applications and requirements by meeting with vendors and design teams.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to determine project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems.
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
  • Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
  • Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence and consistency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or related role.
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino etc.
  • Solid knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
  • Prior experience in design engineering of meter mix machines, dispensing equipment, pumps, and hand tools is preferred.
