Memory Layout Engineer Job Overview

The role of a Memory Layout Engineer involves designing and developing memory compilers layouts and memory Fast Cache instances layouts for cutting-edge Cores, achieving exceptional performance per area (PPA).

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Memory Layout Engineer to join our team in this exciting project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing high-quality memory compilers layouts and memory Fast Cache instances layouts for next-generation Cores
  • Creating design rule-driven layouts that meet stringent quality standards
  • Reviewing schematics with engineers and proposing changes based on layout implications
  • Exploring possible floor planning options and suggesting improvements
  • Verifying backend SRAM/memory layouts, including EMIR analysis
Requirements:
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Basic understanding of CMOS Transistors and their behavior
  • Familiarity with Power vs. Performance vs. Area trade-offs in typical CMOS designs
  • Strong engineering skills and passion for Circuit layouts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in SRAM/memory layouts creation
Nice to Have:
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Perl or Python
  • Experience working on Cadence or Synopsys flows
