Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing their technical expertise to create accurate and comprehensive documentation, ensuring seamless customer satisfaction.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate user manuals and technical documentation for electrical gear, including operation and maintenance manuals and submittals.
  • Develop healthy working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure effective problem resolution and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, applying standard work and error-proofing principles to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal reference materials and process trackers to provide real-time insights into workload.
  • Promote product knowledge and expertise by providing inputs to product marketing and engineering on catalog information, renewal parts, technical drawings, and other documentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in switchgear manufacturing, erection, commissioning, or maintenance.
Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Strong understanding of Eaton business processes and systems.
  • Excellent reading and interpreting skills for technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD, FreeCAD, and Fusion 360°.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other tools like BidManager, Enovia, Vista, SharePoint, and Salesforce.
Soft Skills

You will also need excellent soft skills, including:

  • Organized and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills – written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and successfully manage urgent/high and multiple priorities.
