Offshore Electrical Maintenance Expert

A critical role exists for a high-caliber Electrical Specialist to oversee the safe and efficient operation of offshore assets. This esteemed professional will lead electrical maintenance teams in ensuring uninterrupted power supply to all critical operations, leveraging their expertise in HV/LV electrical systems, marine integration, and Ex-rated equipment compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate electrical system upgrades, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiency enhancements
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex electrical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective LOTO procedures and safety protocols
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for all electrical systems and networks
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills, providing expert guidance during crisis situations
Requirements:
- A degree in electrical engineering or related field (BSEE or equivalent)
- At least 10 years of experience in oil & gas industry, with 5+ years in offshore operations and 2+ years on FPSO/FPU assets
- Strong knowledge of IEC, SOLAS, and offshore electrical safety regulations
- Proven leadership skills, with ability to mentor junior staff and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
