Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure that enables data and analytics products at scale.

About the Role

This senior-level position involves building maintainable data pipelines for both data ingestion and operational analytics for large-scale datasets. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-based data platforms, distributed data processing engines, and modern data lakehouse architectures.

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines for real-time data ingestion and operational analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge
Key Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Building customer-facing analytics products that deliver actionable insights and data
  • Developing design specifications, testing plans, and deployment strategies for data pipelines
  • Collaborating with data stakeholders to identify data requirements and drive analysis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • 3+ years of experience in building and running data pipelines that scale for TBs of data
  • Proficiency in high-level object-oriented programming languages (Python or Java)
  • Experience in cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and AWS, EMR/Athena
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestrators like Airflow is a plus
  • Data visualization skills are a plus (PowerBI, Metabase, Tableau, Hex, Sigma, etc)
