Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Data Governance Specialist to lead our data governance initiatives and take ownership of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.

This strategic role involves designing governance frameworks, driving adoption, and enabling trusted data for analytics, compliance, and AI initiatives.

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation and administration of Collibra across the enterprise, as well as designing and configuring the Collibra Operating Model (domains, assets, workflows, and roles).

Your key responsibilities will include building and optimizing custom workflows using BPMN and Workflow Designer, integrating Collibra with various platforms via APIs/connectors, and partnering with data owners, stewards, and leadership to enforce governance policies and data stewardship models.

Other responsibilities include establishing frameworks for data cataloging, lineage, metadata, and quality management, providing training and mentorship to business and technical teams, and acting as the Collibra SME and evangelist to promote adoption and governance maturity across the organization.

You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Collibra experience, including platform configuration, workflow design, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
  • Expertise with Collibra APIs, BPMN, and scripting (Groovy, JavaScript).
  • Experience with data catalog, business glossary, and lineage in Collibra.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Informatica.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Collibra Ranger or Solution Architect certification strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Collibra deployments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
