Network Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to lead the development of Ethernet-related projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with various Ethernet standards, including IEEE 802.3, and PHY ICs such as PCS, PMA, PMD, Auto-negotiation, Link Training, FEC, and Loopbacks.

They will also have expertise in Media Independent Interfaces (MIIs) such as MII, RMII, GMII, RGMII, SGMII, XAUI, QSGMII, KR/SR/LR, and Layer 2 Switching Concepts, including MAC address learning, VLANs (802.1Q), Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), Link Aggregation (LAG/LACP), and IGMP Snooping.

Our ideal candidate will have strong debugging skills in hardware and software troubleshooting and knowledge of Ethernet Switch Architectures & Features, including QoS, traffic shaping, port mirroring, PTP/NTP.

Additionally, they will have experience with Linux Kernel Development, specifically device drivers and network stack, and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for test automation and data analysis.

Furthermore, they will have hands-on experience with Network Test Equipment, including traffic generators and network sniffers like Wireshark, and be familiar with MPU/MCU/OS such as Microchip VSC, IStax, WebStax, Redboot, and uBoot.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Ethernet Standards: IEEE 802.3 (10/100/1000BASE-T, 2.5G/5G/10GBASE-T, NBASE-T, Fiber Optics)
  • Experience with Ethernet PHY ICs: Internal blocks (PCS, PMA, PMD), Auto-negotiation, Link Training, FEC, Loopbacks
  • Knowledge of Media Independent Interfaces (MIIs): MII, RMII, GMII, RGMII, SGMII, XAUI, QSGMII, KR/SR/LR
