Job Title: Data Center Mechanical Design Expert

A leading technology enabler seeks an experienced mechanical design engineer to join their data center team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermal management, HVAC systems, and energy-efficient cooling technologies critical to the operation of large-scale, high-performance data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooling System Design Leadership: Lead the design of innovative cooling solutions for hyperscale data centers, including chilled water systems, direct expansion (DX) systems, air and liquid cooling technologies, and alternative cooling methods.
  • Design and Optimize Cooling Infrastructure: Design and optimize cooling infrastructure for data centers to maintain desired temperature and humidity levels, ensuring efficient performance, system reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Thermal Load Analysis: Perform detailed thermal load analysis to assess heat generation and distribution within the data center, recommending cooling strategies that meet capacity and redundancy requirements.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors, to integrate cooling solutions with other building and data center systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Building Services, Energy Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and engineering of cooling systems for large-scale, hyperscale data centers or mission-critical facilities.
