Chief Security Officer - Leading Campus Safety

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Security Officer to oversee the overall security operations across our university campuses.

This leadership role requires strong administrative skills, integrity, and the ability to operate in a dynamic university environment.

  • Lead, plan, and coordinate all aspects of security operations, including campus access points, perimeter security, and CCTV surveillance systems.
  • Develop and implement security protocols, crisis management, and emergency response procedures that align with industry best practices.
  • Supervise and train the internal security team and collaborate with outsourced security agencies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain vigilance over campus safety and security, conducting regular security audits, threat assessments, and risk analyses.
  • Liaise with local authorities, fire departments, and other relevant government/security agencies as necessary to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle situations involving student discipline, theft, vandalism, protests, and unlawful activities with fairness and firmness, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

Key Requirements:

  • Retired Officer from Paramilitary Forces (e.g., CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB) with the rank of at least Deputy Commandant or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of service experience in the paramilitary forces, preferably with exposure to campus, industrial, or institutional security.
  • Proven leadership and crisis management skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Surveillance and emergency response planning, with knowledge of modern security systems and protocols.
  • Crisis management and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and external partners.
