About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Database Migration Specialist to lead our database migration program.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless delivery and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully migrating databases across various platforms, including Exadata and ExaCC environments.

In this role, you will define and drive migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices, collaborating with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration processes.

You will also be responsible for documenting migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end database migration lifecycle, from assessment to post-migration optimization.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration processes.
  • Document migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication and Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning.
