Job Title: Experienced VFX Mentor

We are a specialized VFX studio based in Indonesia, focusing on delivering high-quality visual effects for Japanese films.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mentor to join our team and direct the development of our artists, particularly in the field of VFX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing training programs on Houdini software for film and advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  • Tutoring RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation techniques.
  • Ensuring effective teaching of Lookdev principles to achieve convincing results for clients.
  • Providing solutions for integration between Houdini, Autodesk Maya, and Blender or vice versa.
  • Mentoring individual skills of in-house VFX Artists through efficient teaching methods.
  • Sharing experience as a VFX Artist in global cinema.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • In-depth knowledge of overall VFX workflow and understanding of production process.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.
Work Arrangements:
  • Part-time: approximately 5-10 hours/week.
  • Remote work only.
  • Paid hourly/weekly (flexible).
