Job Title: Cost Optimization Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Optimization Engineer to lead the development of cost-efficient manufacturing processes and components. You will be responsible for creating detailed cost models, evaluating supplier quotations, and performing comprehensive spend analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-efficient manufacturing processes for various components and parts.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and cost optimization.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and benchmarking to identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing to ensure cost competitiveness.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to provide insights and recommend improvements.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering materials.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge is a plus).
  • Familiarity with cost estimation tools and software.
  • Knowledge of design processes and product lifecycle management (PLM).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
