Job Description

As a Social Media Editor, you will be responsible for leading our engagement strategies across various platforms. Your role will entail enhancing the presence of our publications on social media, driving engagement, and growing our online audience.

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and digital storytelling. You will collaborate with the editorial team to ensure that our content reaches and resonates with a broader audience.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the editorial goals.
  • Curate, create, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the news/media or education industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.
