Accurate investment accounting is crucial for the success of any organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

About the Role

This position is a critical part of our team, requiring a highly skilled professional with expertise in general ledger accounting, investment accounting, and consolidated accounting concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve accounting processes
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in US accounting
  • General ledger accounting
  • Investment accounting (platforms such as Sage, QBO, Geneva, Investran)
  • Consolidated accounting concepts (eliminating entries)
  • Private equity accounting
  • Wealth enterprise accounting (entity cost allocation)
  • Trust & foundation accounting
  • Basic tax treatments
  • Diverse experience in investment and personal accounting, especially for family enterprises
  • Experience in a reviewer role and staff/project management
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with both investment performance platforms (e.g., Black Diamond) and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QBO)
  • Proven track record in investment accounting for family offices or similar environments
  • Ability to train and support staff on complex accounting entries and reconciliations
