Job Title: ServiceNow IT Asset Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and optimize our IT asset lifecycle using the ServiceNow platform.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing and maintaining ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules, ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and efficient asset tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Asset Management:
    • Implement and maintain the ServiceNow HAM module to ensure accurate tracking of hardware assets.
    • Manage asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, establishing workflows for asset requests, approvals, deployments, and returns.
    • Maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for hardware assets, developing audit processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Software Asset Management:
    • Configure and maintain the ServiceNow SAM module, tracking and managing software licenses, subscriptions, and usage across the organization.
    • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, avoiding audit risks and optimizing software spending by identifying unused licenses and allocating resources efficiently.
    • Generate compliance and usage reports for stakeholders and audits.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Create and manage IT asset management dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.
    • Design and implement asset management processes aligned with industry best practices and global frameworks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement asset management solutions.
    • Monitor and resolve integration issues with other IT systems, providing training and support to end-users on HAM/SAM processes and tools.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of experience in IT asset management.
    • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM and SAM processes and modules.
    • Knowledge of ITIL processes, especially asset and configuration management.
    • Experience with CMDB configuration and management.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proficiency in creating custom scripts, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript and other relevant programming languages.
    • Strong understanding of software licensing models, including perpetual, subscription, and SaaS.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Certifications (Preferred):
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM or SAM.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) or similar.
