Job Title: Data Migration Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead data migration processes for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in capital markets and expertise in data conversion.

This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts and project teams to ensure seamless data migration while maintaining data accuracy and consistency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Conversion and Analysis: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income, Futures & Options, ABS, and MBS.
  • Asset Class Knowledge: Possess conceptual knowledge of fund accounting and portfolio valuation.
  • Market Reference Data: Familiarity with market reference data and corporate actions.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Perform data reconciliation and analyze reconciliation breaks in detail.
  • Source System Analysis: Conduct source system data analysis to manage source-to-target data mapping for large datasets.

Data Testing and Validation:

  • Conversion Requirements: Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to define and document data conversion requirements.
  • Static and Transactional Data: Execute conversion and testing of static and transactional data between core systems.
  • Data Quality Checks: Perform data cleaning, scrubbing, and consistency checks (pre-checks).
  • ETL Tools: Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Conversion Run Book: Understand and manage the Conversion Run Book and task assignments.

Advanced Excel Skills:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data reconciliation and migration processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaboration and Task Management: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
