Senior Fund Accountant Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant with extensive experience in private equity, private credit, and fund administration to oversee monthly closes, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly close processes and oversee full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks or similar platforms.
  • Track interest, fee, and equity income across structured deals and record them accurately.
  • Prepare management reports and investor-ready financial statements that meet GAAP standards.
  • Support CPAs on tax preparation, filings, and fund administration tasks.
  • Review financials from portfolio companies and identify variances for timely action.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant reporting across multiple industries by adhering to GAAP standards.
  • Develop standardized reporting templates and collaborate with CFOs/finance leads.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of direct fund accounting experience (private equity, private debt, or fund admin required).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Background working with companies in the $10M–$100M revenue range.
  • Ability to manage both fund-level and portfolio-level reporting effectively.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
