Data Infrastructure Specialist

We're seeking a Data Infrastructure Specialist with deep expertise in large-scale data processing to join our team of researchers.
You'll work directly with us to accelerate experiments, develop new datasets, improve infrastructure efficiency, and enable key insights across our data assets.
This role is critical to successful model training and evaluation, requiring the design, build, and operation of scalable, fault-tolerant data infrastructure to support distributed computing and data orchestration.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data infrastructure, preferably supporting high-scale applications or research platforms, with a strong understanding of distributed computing frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and batch + streaming pipelines.
In addition, you should be familiar with specialized hardware computing, databases, storage systems, and how architecture choices impact performance at scale, as well as microservices architectures, containerization, and orchestration.
Responsibilities include designing and operating scalable data infrastructure, developing and maintaining high-throughput systems for data ingestion, processing, and transformation, developing synthetic datasets, collaborating with research teams, implementing monitoring and alerting, and building systems for traceability, reproducibility, and quality control.
