Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the Practice Development Associate position.

This role will involve conducting market research and analysis, preparing submissions for rankings and directories, drafting firm profiles, tracking market trends, and supporting the firm's PR and media outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to support practice development initiatives.
  • Prepare high-quality submissions for national and international rankings and directories.
  • Draft and maintain accurate and up-to-date firm profiles, deal lists, experience lists, and marketing collateral.
  • Monitor industry trends, legal developments, and competitor activity relevant to the firm and its practice areas.
  • Support the firm's public relations and media outreach efforts, including liaising with journalists, monitoring media opportunities, and preparing press materials.
  • Assist in planning and executing the firm's participation in conferences, events, and thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Maintain and update internal trackers, databases, and practice development dashboards on a real-time basis.
  • Draft internal and external communications, including newsletters, reports, and social media content.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in legal research, legal rankings, PR, or professional services is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with online databases and digital tools.
