Job Title: Software Engineer II

At Rocket Software Development India Private Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team. This role requires a strong background in software development, with a focus on designing, developing, and troubleshooting software programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement software solutions in Java and NodeJS that meet the company's quality standards.
  • Develop software tools such as operating systems, compilers, routers, and network utilities.
  • Create and maintain databases, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software development aligns with hardware requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects in software applications.
  • Analyze code problems and escalate issues to senior engineers when necessary.
  • Ensure software enhancements are implemented efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide input on software designs, offering creative and technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the team's knowledge base by sharing best practices, writing documentation, and mentoring junior team members.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Java and NodeJS development.
  • Experience in writing commercial/enterprise-grade software.
  • Strong ability to debug and troubleshoot code, identifying potential defects and bringing them to attention when necessary.
  • Ability to understand and communicate end-user requirements, ensuring software solutions meet business needs.
Additional Skills (Good to Have):
  • JavaScript: Familiarity with client-side scripting and frameworks.
  • Angular: Experience with this framework for building web applications.
  • MongoDB: Knowledge of document-based databases.
