Cloud Computing Job Description

A day in the life of a developer involves responsibilities such as:

  • Migrating applications to cloud platforms.
  • Envisioning user requirements, analyzing system features and functionality.
  • Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, recommending system solutions by comparing custom development advantages and disadvantages.
  • Contributing to team meetings, troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Understanding architecture requirements, ensuring effective design, development, validation and support activities.
  • Analyzing client requirements, refactoring systems for workload migration/modernization to cloud.

The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end feature development, resolving challenges faced in implementation, creating detailed design artifacts, performing code reviews and implementing validation and support activities. Strong expertise in .NET Core, cloud computing services, RESTful APIs and software development process is required. Containerization and microservice development on AWS/Azure/GCP is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, testing and deploying scalable cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and implement technical solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing.
  • Ensuring high-quality code and following best practices for code review and testing.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on cloud computing.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET Core, cloud computing services and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with containerization and microservices development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
