Patent Professional

We are seeking an accomplished patent professional to join our team and contribute expertise in patent drafting and prosecution.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, preferably in Computer Science/IT, with a proven track record of drafting high-quality patent applications and preparing office action responses across major jurisdictions, including the US, Europe, and India.

This role requires strategic thinking, effective communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patent Drafting & Prosecution
  • Draft high-quality patent applications for the US, EP, and India, ensuring adherence to jurisdiction-specific legal and technical requirements.
  • Prepare and review responses to office actions from the USPTO, EPO, and Indian Patent Office, guaranteeing timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Project & Team Management
  • Lead and guide a team of Sr. Associates/Associates on drafting and prosecution assignments, providing constructive feedback to enhance quality and productivity.
  • Oversee project timelines, workload distribution, and delivery commitments, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Client Engagement
  • Collaborate closely with inventors, in-house counsel, and R&D teams to capture technical inventions, provide strategic advice on patentability, prosecution, and portfolio development, and maintain strong client communication to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (preferred).
  • Law degree (desirable).
  • Patent agent qualification (required).
  • Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution, with a focus on high-quality deliverables and exceptional client service.
  • Hands-on experience in drafting patent applications and preparing responses to office actions for the US, EP, and India, with a strong understanding of jurisdiction-specific requirements.
  • Prior experience in leading teams or managing projects, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve exceptional results.
