Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fiber Optics Operations Manager to join our team at Airtel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and executing the delivery of all wireline orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute delivery of all wireline orders, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, from order receipt to installation and sign-off.
  • Collaborate with internal network teams to provide visibility on delivery timelines and ensure seamless execution.
  • Lead a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of fiber optics and FTTH media, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Engage with testing teams and customers to resolve link testing issues, ensuring smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly interact with domestic and international customers during delivery lifecycle, building strong relationships and resolving any concerns.
  • Manage inventory for delivery of business orders, ensuring optimal resource allocation and minimizing delays.
  • Proactively arrange bandwidth in high-utility rings, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting customer needs.
  • Track project stages and publish regular progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Hold regular meetings with the business team to provide visibility on ongoing and critical projects, identifying and addressing potential challenges.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in fiber optic operations, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optics and FTTH media, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
