Electrical Design Manager

As a seasoned leader, you will oversee the design and engineering teams to develop innovative solar power solutions. Your expertise will ensure technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization of solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Oversee a team of design engineers and CAD professionals to deliver high-quality output and professional development.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project management, procurement, construction, and operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • System Design and Development:
    • Lead the design process for solar PV systems, including layout, electrical schematics, and structural configurations.
    • Evaluate designs to maximize energy yield, reduce costs, and enhance system reliability.
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Work closely with project stakeholders to develop design schedules and meet deadlines.
    • Support feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and site assessments.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration:
    • Research and integrate emerging solar technologies, tools, and software to enhance system performance.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation in design to support sustainability and profitability goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the technical expert during client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
    • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve technical challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in solar design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, HelioScope) and familiarity with GIS tools.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, including electrical and structural components.
  • Understanding of grid interconnection, energy storage systems, and hybrid solutions.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
