Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for high-performance workloads.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in an infrastructure engineering role, with extensive knowledge of GCP and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS). They will also possess a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Kubernetes, and related tools such as Helm and Kustomize.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect large-scale cloud infrastructure on GCP for high-performance workloads.
  • Maintain and improve existing cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies to streamline software delivery and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, as well as contribute to the development of technical documentation and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in an infrastructure engineering role, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of GCP and/or AWS, including architecture, security, networking, and storage.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, and other IaC tools and technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications, such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Kubernetes Certified Administrator.
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure and software development, particularly with Python.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
