Power Trading Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Power Trading Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our trading operations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize the value of our energy assets.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy trading, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in power exchanges (e.g. IEX). You will possess clear knowledge of real-time dispatch management in renewable energy plants and be familiar with communication protocols and coordination processes with DISCOMs and SLDCs.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of global renewable power markets, including wholesale, ancillary, and capacity segments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in dynamic environments and handle real-time operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize customer asset value and enhance overall portfolio performance.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of wholesale, ancillary, and capacity segments for Indian, Japanese, and US power markets.
  • Identify and adopt advanced tools and processes to improve trading operations efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customer-focused value propositions and global platform solutions.
  • Monitor real-time and historical market data to evaluate and respond to energy trading conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is typically required.
  • Advanced degrees such as Master's in Energy Management or Sustainable Development can be an advantage.
  • Certifications like Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) are highly beneficial.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis software and computer modeling programs.
