Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Engineer to lead our data processing efforts and optimize message flow within our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and upgrade high-availability Kafka clusters, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Automate installation and configuration of Kafka clusters using tools like Ansible and Chef.
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues, optimizing Kafka performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Configure MirrorMaker for effective data replication between two data centers, ensuring business continuity.
  • Deploy and manage real-time monitoring and management tools on a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Integrate Schema Registry and deploy multiple Kafka Connectors for efficient data flow.
  • Manage ACL permissions, create topics, and implement end-to-end security with SSL/TLS.
  • Design and manage Kafka infrastructure for optimal message processing efficiency.
  • Conduct performance testing to optimize partitioning, replication, and retention policies.
  • Integrate Kafka with scalable data storage and analysis solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Required Skills:

Expertise in Kafka clusters, MirrorMaker, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Monitoring & Logging, Programming & Scripting, Shell Scripting.

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data processing and messaging systems.
