Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily IT operations, including network availability, server performance, and system uptime to guarantee optimal service delivery.
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware and software issues affecting faculty, staff, and students to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Implement and manage software deployment, updates, and patching across the university's systems to maintain security and efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field to demonstrate foundational knowledge.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network management to showcase expertise.
  • Proven experience working in a university or educational environment is a significant advantage to understand the unique demands of this sector.
Desired Skills
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate) to demonstrate commitment to professional development.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation to streamline processes.
  • Working knowledge of MAC PCs will be an advantage to expand technical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
