Role Overview

The Indian Languages Cluster Marketing team is looking for a skilled Marketing Lead to join their South-based operations, based out of Bangalore or Chennai office. The role spans across broadcast and digital viewership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Marketing Leadership
    • Develop an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with channels mission and objectives, focusing on TV viewership, YouTube watch hours, concurrency growth, and enhancing our footprint in regional news market.
    • Drive impactful brand positioning efforts to establish respective channel as a trusted and relatable brand in regional news segment across broadcast, CTV, and OTTs.
    • Closely collaborate with Editorial, Sales, and Product teams to ensure cohesive marketing execution that advances key business goals.
  • Brand Building and Reputation Management
    • Develop brand campaigns that uphold channels brand voice and amplify its position as a regional leader.
    • Oversee PR, corporate communications, and media relations to maintain a positive brand presence and navigate market visibility effectively.
    • Identify strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and events that extend brand exposure and drive viewership.
  • Customer Insights and Market Intelligence
    • Lead ongoing market and competitive research to identify emerging trends, user behaviour shifts, and new growth opportunities.
    • Leverage customer insights and analytics to tailor marketing strategies, enhance viewer experience, and provide strategic input for product development.
    • Utilize data-backed insights to refine audience segmentation, driving targeted campaigns that resonate with diverse user profiles.
  • Leadership and Team Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering innovation, accountability, and high standards.
    • Establish and manage budgets for the marketing department, ensuring efficient resource allocation to achieve business objectives.
    • Drive talent pipeline development within the marketing function, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
