System Specialist Role Overview

As a senior-level systems specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining server environments, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing technical support to IT staff.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, IIS, and MS SQL. Strong experience with database management, clusters, performance optimization, and version upgrades is also required.

This role involves collaborating with teams across the company to design and implement infrastructure solutions based on business requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, as well as critical thinking and time management skills in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain server environments based on Microsoft technologies.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems, and resolving escalated incidents.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new infrastructure deployments or upgrades.
  • Perform regular backup operations, implement patches, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex and large IT environments.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong experience with MS SQL database management, clusters, performance optimization, and version upgrades.
  • Working knowledge of VMware and cloud platforms.
