ICT Telecommunications Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced ICT and Telecommunications Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and publication of telecommunications designs, including structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modeling, RF systems, technology platforms and systems, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and publish telecommunications designs to support projects
  • Undertake detailed designs relating to ICT and Telecommunications Systems
  • Prepare reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works
  • Liaise with other engineers, vendors, and contractors during project duration
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Master of Engineering in Electronic, Computer Systems, or Telecommunications course of study
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Preferably past experience in mentoring
  • Pursuing Chartered Engineer (CEng) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and Telecommunications designs
  • Underpinning knowledge of Network design principles and significant experience working within critical environments
Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • Detail knowledge on the design and integration of various systems and subsystems
  • Experience in preparing conceptual reports, telecommunications scheme designs, project documentation, specifications, contract schedules, implementation/construction plans, and costings to client requirements
  • Expert use of telecommunications design packages
  • Required Office Software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
  • At least one of the following: Visio, Bluebeam, Ekahau, Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Aconex
