Identity and Access Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish access for new team members by creating Active Directory accounts, application credentials, and network permissions.
  • Ensure seamless offboarding by disabling all accounts and network access.
  • Provide secure access to shared drives and folders while adhering to the principle of least privilege.
  • Create mailboxes, distribution groups, and shared mailboxes using the Exchange Admin Console.
  • Process access requests through the Service Now Access Management queue.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to access requests or IAM tickets promptly.
  • Extend consultant, contractor, or temporary AD account durations as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and document established IAM processes.
  • Educate users on IAM best practices.
  • Assist with audit-related requests and adapt IAM policies, procedures, and guidelines as necessary.
  • Continuously improve operations, streamline work processes, and collaborate with various teams to provide quality service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active Directory experience is mandatory.
  • Exchange 2013 Administration Console experience is preferred.
  • Azure Active Directory and O365 console experience is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access control principles.
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems, particularly Service Now.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify process gaps.
  • Critical thinking skills to resolve processing issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and make decisions on behalf of the team.
  • Strong cognitive, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with troubleshooting VPN access issues.
  • Basic knowledge of SIEM technology and ability to identify basic-level issues like account lockouts and password resets.
  • Administration of Trimble Accubid and SAP systems for user access.
  • Experience with DUO 2-factor authentication or similar applications is an advantage.
  • Understanding of security and compliance concepts, including best practices, least privilege, and adherence to IT policies.
  • Self-motivated, self-driven attributes.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
