Job Summary

The primary role of this position is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, facilitating informed decision-making within the organization. The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with established policies.

This individual will play a critical role in supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciling general ledger accounts, and resolving discrepancies. Additionally, they will assist in implementing process improvements and automation initiatives to optimize financial reporting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Maintenance: Accurately record and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are documented.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies to guarantee financial accuracy.
  • Closing Activities: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to maintain timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management to inform strategic decisions.
