Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with statutory requirements. A solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation laws and financial controls is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Provide support to the Finance team and other internal departments with complex accounting matters. Confidentiality is key in protecting the organization's value.
  • Accounting & Bookkeeping: Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries and ledger maintenance. Timely month-end and year-end closing is crucial, along with managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns etc.). Handle TDS/TCS compliance and return filings, accurate and timely filing of Professional Tax (PT) and Provident Fund (PF) returns, and assist in statutory audits, internal audits and tax assessments.
  • Financial Reporting & Budgeting: Prepare monthly MIS reports, Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets. Develop monthly budgets in coordination with business requirements, ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and internal policies. Focus analytics on cost structure within divisions to ensure controllable costs are being managed optimally and within budgets. Reconcile intercompany balances and investments and support consolidation process.
  • Banking & Treasury: Reconcile bank accounts and manage banking transactions. Process payroll disbursements, vendor payments and statutory dues. Track customer receipts to ensure vendors are paid upon receipt and set up required vendor payments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external auditors, consultants and statutory authorities.
  • Drive process improvements and enhance internal financial controls.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers and compute depreciation.
  • Assist Canada Finance Team.

Requirements:

  • 4–8 years for MBA (Finance) graduates.
  • 1–2 years for qualified Chartered Accountants (CA).
  • CA / MBA (Finance).
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Well-organized with ability to work independently.
  • Great attention to detail.
