About the Role :

The QA Team plays a vital part in our company's product development process at Meritto. As the final gatekeeper before live deployment, you will ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform manual testing of our SaaS Product
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive manual test suite for the product
  • Be the final checkpoint before live deployment, ensuring all issues are resolved
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality results
  • Analyze product documents and specifications to create effective test cases
  • Log and track defects using Defect Management tools
  • Analyze, debug, and troubleshoot setup, database, and server-related issues
  • Configure and maintain a testing environment that simulates various device configurations and infrastructure failures
  • Evaluate product usability across desktop and mobile web platforms

Requirements :

  • MCA or B.Tech in Computer Science/IT Engineering
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in software testing
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience in LAMP environment testing
  • Familiarity with traditional SDLC and agile/scrum development methodologies
  • Knowledge of different types of testing (functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, system)
  • Experience with database testing, script testing, and browser testing
  • Proficiency in issue tracking platforms like JIRA
  • Basic knowledge of web concepts (HTML, webservers), relational and non-relational database management systems
  • Bonus points for experience in automation testing and tools like Selenium
  • Experience with web service testing (REST and JSON, HTTP)
  • Knowledge of load testing and distributed testing using JMeter
  • Experience with web security tools
