Senior Animator and Rigger Mentor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on the role of an Animator and Rigger Mentor at our studio.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Hollywood film productions, animation and rigging techniques, as well as experience in software training using Autodesk Maya and Blender.

  • Provide advanced training in Autodesk Maya and Blender for animators and riggers.
  • Mentor artists in animation and rigging techniques in different styles (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.).
  • Develop skills in integration between Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Enhance individual skills through effective teaching methods.
  • Share your experience as an Animator and Rigger in global cinema.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Mastery of animation and rigging using Blender and Maya software.
  • A deep understanding of animation principles and their flexible application.
  • Mastery of animation workflows and pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to adjust animation style according to project requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy and deformation of living creatures.
  • Ability to create rigs that facilitate animators.
  • Capacity to mentor junior animators and riggers.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week, working remotely only. You will be paid hourly/weekly (flexible) and must be willing to provide weekly reviews individually or in groups (remotely via Google Meet or Zoom).

Job Responsibilities

  • Software Training: Provide advanced training in Autodesk Maya and Blender for animators and riggers.
  • Mentoring: Mentor artists in animation and rigging techniques in different styles (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.).
  • Integration: Develop skills in integration between Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Skill Enhancement: Enhance individual skills through effective teaching methods.
  • Industry Expertise: Share your experience as an Animator and Rigger in global cinema.
