Job Title: Senior Data Migration Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support the migration of data solutions from Azure Synapse Analytics to SQL-based systems.

  • Migrate data and processes: Develop, optimize, and maintain solutions to transfer data from Azure Synapse to SQL Server or other SQL platforms.
  • Design backend services: Implement APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases.
  • Write complex SQL queries: Create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver reliable solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional experience: 2+ years in backend development and SQL databases.
  • SQL knowledge: Strong understanding of SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases).
  • Azure expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and database migration/ETL processes.
  • Programming language proficiency: Proficiency in a backend programming language such as C#, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • API development: Experience with API development and integration.
  • Database design: Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
  • Azure cloud services: Familiarity with Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, SQL Database, etc.) is a plus.
