Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have a deep understanding of the industry and its operational requirements. This is essential as they will be responsible for overseeing the management of plant and machinery, working with various teams to ensure optimal performance.

This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and effective communication abilities. The successful candidate will have experience in managing high-rise towers, erection, dismantling, maintenance, and operation of heavy equipment such as tower cranes, hoists, and booms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of plant and machinery, ensuring optimal use and minimum breakdown.
  • Develop and implement methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Control spare parts inventory and cost optimization, sourcing operators, mechanics, and other personnel as needed.
  • Generate local MIS reports to Mechanical Heads at HO/Project In charge.
  • Maintain site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Create budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them on a monthly basis.
  • Train personnel on safe equipment usage and repairs/servicing procedures, maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/Dip.- Mech. or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in plant and machinery management.
