Job Opportunity

The mechanical design engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and testing complex mechanical systems and equipment. They will collaborate with customers and marketing teams to determine design requirements, plan and execute the design of precision mechanical equipment, develop and test prototypes, and work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that design specifications are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to determine project requirements.
  • Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems.
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
  • Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
  • Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino etc.
  • Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Prior Experience:

  • Candidate with past experience in design engineering of meter mix machines, dispensing equipment, pumps, and hand tools will be preferred.
