Visual Storyteller for Science and Research

Transform scientific discoveries into captivating visual narratives that inform, educate, and inspire.

As a Visual Storyteller for Science and Research, you will collaborate with researchers, writers, and clients to develop engaging content and visuals that bring complex ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop visually stunning graphical abstracts that distill the essence of scientific studies
  • Extract key visual elements and concepts from scientific manuscripts
  • Create storyboards that outline the visual narrative
  • Generate rough sketches to illustrate initial visual concepts
  • Review peers' and freelancers' outputs to ensure alignment with client objectives and expectations

Requirements:

  • Graduate/PhD degree in STEM fields (Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering)
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science and complex research into visually engaging output
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Creating 3D designs in Blender is an added advantage
  • Experience in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstracts
  • Understanding of the scientific publishing and science communication landscape
