Civil Manager Job Description

About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Manager to oversee civil construction activities, ensuring smooth workflow coordination with various departments, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Project Planning and Management: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for all civil works, allocating resources effectively and enforcing quality standards.
  • Site Supervision: Direct and supervise on-site civil construction activities, monitoring progress, resolving technical issues, and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control systems to ensure civil works meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Safety Management: Enforce strict safety regulations on construction sites, conducting safety briefings, identifying hazards, and ensuring worker compliance with safety procedures.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Manage project budget for all civil works, tracking expenses, preparing cost reports, and identifying cost-saving measures.
  • Contract Management: Administer and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating terms, monitoring performance, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and quality and safety records.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with other project managers and departments to ensure seamless integration and smooth handover of front-end systems.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of experience in greenfield projects, preferably in steel plants or iron making/rolling mills. BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering required.
