Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using IaaS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Led transformation projects migrating on-prem workloads to Public Cloud solutions, resulting in significant cost savings and improved scalability.
• Expertise in Terraform and Ansible with hands-on experience in migrating applications to the Cloud, utilizing industry-leading best practices.
• Managed pipelines using Jenkins and GITOPS driven configuration management and deployment, ensuring seamless integration and automated testing.
• Comparing services across Public Cloud providers, understanding cloud adoption models for major cloud services CPU Architectures, Storage, and Network connectivity, making informed decisions to optimize cloud resource utilization.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent degree from a reputable institution.
• Red Hat Certified Architect or Equivalent certification demonstrating expertise in cloud architecture and engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience at a relevant technical position in large organizations, with a proven track record of delivering successful cloud projects.

Skill Set

• Terraform: Experience in designing and deploying cloud infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.
• Ansible: Hands-on experience in automating cloud deployments using Ansible, with a focus on efficiency and consistency.
• Jenkins: Proven experience in managing pipelines using Jenkins, with a focus on automation, testing, and continuous delivery.
• Kubernetes: Expertise in container orchestration using Kubernetes, with a focus on scalability, high availability, and security.
• Docker: Experience in containerization using Docker, with a focus on portability, scalability, and ease of use.
• Public Cloud Technologies: In-depth knowledge of public cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and their respective services.
• API Communications (Rest/Soap): Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, as well as Soap-based web services.
• Infrastructure and DNS Concepts: Strong understanding of infrastructure design patterns, including load balancing, DNS, and IP address management.
• Certificates and SSL Communication: Experience in implementing SSL/TLS certificates, including certificate issuance, installation, and renewal.
• Load Balancers and Site Selectors: Familiarity with load balancer concepts, including HAProxy, NGINX, and F5, as well as site selector technologies like GLBC.
• Vault Tools: Experience in using Vault to manage secrets, tokens, and other sensitive data.
• High Availability: Proven experience in designing and implementing highly available systems, including redundant components, failover strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Groovy, Bash, PowerShell, and Python Scripting: Experience in scripting languages, including Groovy, Bash, PowerShell, and Python, with a focus on automation, reporting, and system administration.
• Repository and Artifact Management Tools: Familiarity with repository tools like Git, SVN, and Perforce, as well as artifact management tools like Maven, Gradle, and NuGet.
• Container Technologies: Experience in containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and other container runtimes, with a focus on portability, scalability, and ease of use.
• ELK and its Beats: Familiarity with ELK Stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, as well as Beats, which provide log shipping and monitoring capabilities.
• OS Compliance Policies: Understanding of operating system compliance policies, including security baselines, vulnerability management, and patching.
• Agile Methodologies and Project Management: Experience in Agile project management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, with a focus on iterative development, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
